For those who don't want to pack their own picnic basket, the green circus wagon at the Elsterwehr is the place to go. In summer, cyclists, families, couples and dog owners alike flock here. The Zierlich Manierlich, which has long since become a fixture in Leipzig with its colorful wagon, is a very special café. The large adjoining meadow offers outdoor seating only. With blankets and cushions provided, it's a great place to enjoy the evening and watch the sunset.

The Zierlich Manierlich provides all sun worshippers with coffee specialties, homemade sodas, chai, snacks and homemade cakes, quiches and cookies. Organic and regional products from Leipzig are the main ingredients used. There is also always a selection of vegan drinks and food.

What makes it so popular with families is the selection of squeezies and rice cakes for the little ones and the toy box, where everyone can help themselves. It's easy to stay for one or two more drinks.

The circus wagon with cult status opens daily from April to the end of October. The hatch only remains closed in bad weather.
