Bad Lausick spa and town museum

The Kur- und Stadtmuseum was opened in October 2008. In 2023, the museum enjoyed a makeover. The museum is located in one of the town's oldest and most beautiful, lavishly renovated town houses in a central location on the market square, right next to the tourist information office. In seven exhibition rooms, it primarily displays material evidence of the eventful development of Lausigk and Bad Lausick as a spa and bathing resort as well as the town's history.
Since the 12th century, Lausigk has been of outstanding regional importance in administrative, ecclesiastical and at times also military terms, which is explained in detail and vividly.Of particular interest, however, is how the discovery and utilization of curative waters came about and how Lausick became a renowned spa and bathing resort.
The museum is equipped with an audio-visual and an audio station, which convey the historical spa operations on the one hand and the brilliance of the sound of the Silbermann-Trampeli organ in Lausick's St. Kilian's Church on the other.
