Schlag & Söhne organ in the church at Kieritzsch
Gottlieb Schlag (1803 - 1889) trained with Gottlieb Schönburg in Schafstädt. From 1834 to 1869, he was the owner of the company Christian Gottlieb & Johann Karl Schlag in Schweidnitz. The company Schlag & Söhne operated under this name from 1869 to 1923. Founded entirely in the tradition of mechanical organ building, the organ built in 1907/08 for the church in Kieritzsch was manufactured with cone chests and pneumatic action. II/12. The primarily fundamental tonal specification corresponds entirely to the sound ideal of this era. A general overhaul was carried out by the Bochmann company in Kohren-Sahlis in 2010/11.
