Tower windmill "Friedemann" Paschwitz

In 1883, a massive tower windmill was erected on the Mühlenberg in Paschwitz. Equipped without a wind rose, the mill had to be kept in the wind by hand. In 1933, miller Ernst Friedemann acquired the mill and had extensive renovations carried out in 1938, 1946 and 1965. After storm damage to the sails in 1968, the mill was only operated electrically. Miller Edgar Friedemann, who had been running the small mill since 1975 and was the last commercial windmiller in the region until the end of 1997, had the mill building reconstructed in 1991/92 and also had it fitted with sails again. Today, guided tours of the mill are offered. The cozy miller's parlor invites you to linger. Events take place in the mill barn and in the mill yard.
