The Forester's Trail owes its name to the traditional forestry industry, which has had a lasting impact on the landscape to the right and left of the trail. From charcoal burning to the most modern forestry tasks, the route offers numerous exciting insights into the work of foresters from yesterday to today. The hike through shady forests, across light forest meadows, through heath and moorland can be completed without any particular physical exertion and offers plenty of variety on three stages with its exciting nature experiences. Small villages and inns along the way invite you to stop for a break.

The hiking trail can be started in Doberschütz and continued through the town northwards into the Dübener Heide. The forest path "Die Vier" is followed through the Dübener Heide. The nature trail at Winkelmühle and the nature trail at Pressel are passed. Along the edge of the forest, the hiker passes the towns of Kossa and Durchwehna as well as Söllichau. From there, the hiker immerses himself in the dense Dübener Heide until he gets closer to Gräfenhainichen and the Gremminer See.
