Follow in the footsteps of Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch through his hometown, explore his life stations and his achievements for the worldwide cooperative movement.

"Self-help, self-administration and self-responsibility" – an idea that has become intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The cooperative idea was the first German contribution ever included by UNESCO in 2016 in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The cooperative idea is mostly mentioned together with the founders Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen and Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch and stands for freedom, democratic basic structures and values such as solidarity. Following the principle "together we are strong," the cooperative movement was meant to be "help for self-help." Because what one alone cannot achieve, many can achieve together.
