The continuation of the long-distance cycle route parallel to the River Mulde takes us from Grimma across the border of Saxony to the village of Muldenstein.

The Mulde Cycle Path continues from Grimma via Bad Düben and Löbnitz until it meets the Elbe Cycle Path in Dessau-Roßlau. Along the route, numerous castles, palaces and manor houses demonstrate the wealth of Saxon history. The route runs through characteristic floodplains and wet meadows with their unique flora and fauna. Asphalted sections alternate with country lanes and moderately busy roads.

From Grimma, the tour leads along paved paths along the Mulde and after the village of Rothersdorf through the Planitzwald forest to Schmölen. There you can take the passenger ferry to the eastern bank during the season or continue the tour to the village of Grubnitz. Both paths meet again in Grubnitz and lead us through small villages, nature and through the town of Eilenburg to the ferry to Gruna. There we can cross over to Hohenprießnitz. Continuing north, we pass the town of Bad Düben and continue along accompanying cycle paths, well-surfaced paths and country roads to the Pouch reservoir and the village of Muldenstein.
