Take a tour around Bad Lausick and discover interesting contemporary witnesses of this more than 900-year-old town.

Take a tour around Bad Lausick and discover interesting contemporary witnesses of this more than 900-year-old town, such as the St. Julian's church from 1105 with its Silbermann-Trampeli organ, the town hall which was designed by Theodor Kösser – the architect of Leipzig's Mädler-Passage – or learn about the development of this city to a spa region in the Spa and City Museum at the market.

Located on the edge of the Colditzer Forst nature reserve, the area around Bad Lausick offers many hiking and cycling opportunities. The 16 ha park around the spa, with its beautiful trees, is perfect for long walks. From May to mid-September, Sundays are for the popular Spa Orchestra Concerts on the "Schmetterling" open-air stage in the middle of the park. The traditional fountain festival always takes place on the first weekend of July, and offers its visitors a variety of entertaining events.

Health, as a topic, has been shaping this town in Saxony for a long time. In 1820, the first Bad Lausick "Heilwasser" (or healing water) was discovered in the lignite mine. This was the start of the spa. Today, thermal water from a depth of 1300 m is considered a natural remedy. This water is suitable for drinking and for baths. A drinking water fountain is located in the foyer of the RIFF spa and leisure pool. Enjoy the beneficial effects of swimming and relaxing in one of the thermal water. Guests can recharge their batteries with just a few hours' stay will the unique bathing and sauna possibilities. The spacious amenities with six different saunas, fireplace rooms and a sauna garden makes everyday life seem like a distant dream. Wellness offers range from various massages to pampering packs on the floating lounger. The bathing area also features a salt inhalation grotto, which is said to have beneficial effects on the skin and respiratory system. The adjacent warm aroma cabin appeals to all the senses through its light, fragrance, heat, and musical stimuli. As the adults recuperate and regain their strength, the kids can have a ton of fun jumping from the 3 and 5 m towers or using going down the wild "Crazy River" slide.
