Bad Lausick

On a tour of Bad Lausick, you can discover interesting witnesses to the town's 900-year history: St. Kilian's Church dating back to 1105 with a Silbermann-Trampeli organ; the town hall designed by the architect of the Mädler Passage, Theodor Kösser, or follow the town's development into a spa town in the spa and town museum on the market square.

Located on the edge of the Colditzer and Glastener Forst nature reserve, Bad Lausick's surroundings offer the opportunity for hiking and cycling. The 24-hectare spa park with its beautiful old trees invites you to take long walks. From May to mid-September, the popular Sunday spa concerts are held on the Schmetterling open-air stage in the middle of the park. The traditional fountain festival offers visitors a wide range of entertainment.

The topic of health has shaped the small Saxon town for a long time. In 1820, the first Bad Lausick healing water was discovered during lignite mining, thus initiating the town's development into a health resort. Today, Bad Lausick bears a double title - spa and Kneipp health resort. The natural remedy today is thermal water from a depth of 1,300 meters. A drinking fountain is located in the foyer of the RIFF leisure pool. The many possibilities of the unique bathing and sauna landscape allow guests to recharge their batteries after a stay of just a few hours. While the adults relax and recharge their batteries, the children have lots of fun with  cliff jumping from the 3- and 5-metre towers or a wild slide down the "Crazy River".
