Bennewitz farm dairy

Hofmolkerei Bennewitz - that's 730 dairy cows grazing in the Torgau countryside, a family-run business and natural, regional products. The milk processed here from cows kept in a species-appropriate manner is milked on the basis of environmentally friendly farming and then gently processed into fresh milk, buttermilk, whey or quark. This preserves the best components of the milk, vitamins, calcium and flavors. The cheese is also produced without preservatives, colorants or flavor enhancers. Nutrient-rich sour cream butter is also produced here in the old artisan tradition. The products are also sold at Leipzig's weekly market at the Alter Rahaus and at weekly markets around Torgau.

A special feature on site are the visitor display windows, through which you can take a look at how the dairy products are made and into the cheese ripening room. In summer, seating areas with coffee and ice cream invite you to linger.
