Schmeisser organ in the church of St. Petri

The organ building company Schmeisser, which has been based in Rochlitz for over one hundred and thirty years, has built, rebuilt or maintained a number of instruments over four generations. This is also the case in St. Petri Church. It has a two-manual mechanical organ built by Paul Schmeisser (1878-1902) in 1894, while his son Alfred Schmeisser completed the three-manual pneumatic organ in the Kunigundenkirche in 1920. Fortunately, both instruments have been thoroughly renovated in recent years.
