Speck's Hof (Reichsstraße)
The passage in Speck's Hof, which is connected to the Hansa Haus, is the oldest preserved in Leipzig. Here, the splendor of the past meets the comfort of the present. Modern retail spaces are elegantly combined with the magnificent elements of an impressive century-old building. Enjoy a very special shopping experience here.
A department store owned by Baron von Speck previously stood on the site of the Messehaus, which was built between 1908 and 1929. Speck's Hof served as an exhibition venue for leather and jewelry goods until 1989. Since its renovation in the 1990s, imaginative wall friezes, paintings and ceramic medallions by artists Bruno Griesel, Johannes Grützke and Moritz Götze have adorned the three atriums inside.
