      Museums with free admission in Leipzig

      You can visit the permanent exhibitions of Leipzig’s municipal museums completely free of charge – this includes the Museum of the City of Leipzig with the Old Town Hall, the Haus Böttchergässchen with the Children’s Museum, the Schiller House, the Zum Arabischen Coffe Baum as well as the Capa-Haus. The permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig, the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts, the School Museum and the German Museum of Books and Writing of the German National Library are also free of charge. At the Leipzig Natural History Museum and the Forum of Contemporary History Leipzig, not only the permanent exhibitions but also the special exhibitions can be visited free of charge. 

      The first Wednesday of the month is especially worthwhile for museumgoers, because on this Museum Day the special exhibitions are also discounted to 3 €.
