On a walk through the spa town of Bad Lausick, you can discover fascinating witnesses to the town’s more than 900-year history: St. Kilian’s Church from 1105; the town hall designed by Theodor Kösser, the architect of the Mädler Passage; or the Spa and Town Museum on the market square.

Bennewitz is one of the oldest settlements in the Mulde floodplain. Around 1,200 years ago, the Sorbian Wend Bono or Bonislaw the Elder settled here with his family and servants after the Germanic settlers had left their homes during the Migration Period.

Located in the heart of Saxony, on the Zwickauer Mulde and Freiberger Mulde rivers, lies Colditz. The town, with its famous castle looking back on an almost 1,000-year history, was the scene of historic events.

Idyllically situated in the Mulde Valley by the Klause, Großweitzschen captivates visitors with its natural charm. Whether cycling, hiking or paddling - anything that helps you relax is possible here.

From culture and sports to relaxation, Kriebstein has a great deal to offer, making it the perfect place for a wonderful mix of enjoyable vacation days. A visit to Kriebstein Castle, Saxony's most beautiful knight's castle, is highly recommended.

With its medieval flair, Leisnig is located in the heart of Saxony's largest fruit-growing region. The impressive Mildenstein Castle rises above the valley of the Freiberger Mulde river and is one of the oldest castles in Saxony.

Seventeen villages have formed the municipality of Lossatal since January 2012. The region is rich in cultural and historical sights, many small castles, manor houses, churches and mills. They reflect a long and fascinating history.

The municipality of Machern is known, on the one hand, for its stately castle, which was built as a moated castle in the 16th century. On the other hand, the extensive castle grounds and English-style landscape garden also attract many visitors.

Rochlitz is home not only to Rochlitzer Berg with its distinctive porphyry rock. Rochlitz is also one of the oldest towns in Saxony and impresses visitors with its mighty castle, historic town center and interesting churches.

Roßwein is located in the heart of Saxony, in a very scenic setting. Its special sights include a camellia that is over 200 years old, the remaining parts of the old town wall, the postal mile column, the old post office, and the old adit of the silver mine. Along the Freiberger Mulde, you can enjoy wonderful hikes or bike tours.

The municipality of Thallwitz is located at the northernmost tip of the Leipzig region. It is surrounded by the charming floodplain landscape between the Mulde, Lossa, and the Hohburg Hills. Sights worth seeing include Thallwitz Castle from the 16th century, later converted into a hunting lodge in the Neo-Renaissance style, and its enchanting park.

Trebsen, once one of the largest manor estates in Saxony, is located directly on the Mulde. In the 18th century, an English-style landscape park was created, large parts of which still exist today.

The center of the town of Waldheim surprises visitors with many beautiful Art Nouveau buildings and the striking new town hall dating from 1902. Its surroundings are shaped by the course of the Zschopau River.

Even from afar, Wurzen’s silhouette is defined by the towers of St. Mary’s Cathedral and the former bishop’s castle. In addition to its charming old town, the town is also known as the birthplace of the writer, painter, and cabaret artist Joachim Ringelnatz.
